Lost/Found is an excavation London's maritime past in relation to the creation of the City of London as a financial district. It all started with a simple question 'Why is Jamaica Road in Bermondsey called Jamaica Road?' What transpired was a tale of how the borough Southwark's participation in the Transatlantic slave trade, and the importation of goods - particularly Tobacco and Sugar along the docks helped to create the wealth in the commercial district of the London that we recognise today.
Pencil, watercolour and ink on Fabriano paper. 78cm x 148cm, 2015.
